Look at these two cuties who braved the weather for some snow photos in Oak Park (ish)!! A major snowstorm was coming, but they were brave enough to sneak in a shoot – the first snowflakes started falling just as we finished and were heading back to the parking lot!
Sometimes little people get cold during their snow photos; I always choose locations close to a parking lot so we can warm up if needed!
I just love how light and bright the snow makes the backgrounds! You wouldn’t immediately think it – but the snow brightens up the ground, reflects soft, flattering light onto the subjects’ faces, and with the lack of big, fat leaves on the trees there’s a lot of brightness from the sky that we’d miss out on in this location during the summer!
Ok, this one is probably my favorite! How cute are they?! And where can I get a pom-pom hat like that in my size?
What do you think of these snow photos in Oak Park?
Abbie is a talented photographer herself, based out of the Schaumburg, IL area! Check out her family photography work here, and her wedding photography work here!
When I shared her sneak peek she had such kind words to say:
I’ll treasure these images with my girl forever!
Aww! That makes me really happy to hear! As moms and photographers it’s often really challenging for us to get into the frame with the rest of our family. I’m so glad I was able to get some snow photos with Abbie in them, and I’m looking forward to meeting your husband, too, once it warms up a bit!
