We had to reschedule a few times due to crummy weather, but boy the sunshine this afternoon did not disappoint for this Oak Park IL fall mini session!!
Me: “Okay kids, look at Dad because he’s the stinkiest!” Dad: “I totally own that.” We all cracked up!!
I am sucker for shots of just mom with her kids!! Gosh this family was so happy and beautiful!

I love the soft light we had; and the colors of the trees that day were just amazing! We are lucky enough to live close to a grove of sugar maple trees that all change color at once. The effect is stunning!
These cheerful kids had the best smiles!! It truly was a treat to photograph them; they were happy and interested in their surroundings, and both were on the watch for any wildlife. 🙂
Kids permitting, I love to get some portraits of Mom and Dad! Aren’t they a good-looking couple?
While Mom and Dad were getting their photos, the kids were right behind me doing the flossing dance and were pretty amused when I caught them.
Aren’t they the best?! Just a sweet pair of loving brothers!! I also absolutely love the rainbow gradient of fall colors in the background of this shot!
Mom got her own time in the spotlight! Moms work hard and deserve a bit of extra attention!
I love to finish with a final shot with everyone after we’re more comfortable with each other!
