Hey friends, I’m delighted to share this gorgeous senior photos session taken in Niles in Fremont! We joked, since this senior is a big Harry Styles fan, that we were going to channel that vibe and have a “Harry Styles in Niles” photoshoot!
When I was throwing out location ideas for this senior: golden hills, downtown, parks…she wasn’t into it. I knew she was a giant Harry Styles fan and wanted to channel some of the vibe, so I went custom location scouting to find a spot that would fit! The vibrant colors and retro wild west meets the 60s vibe of Niles in Fremont, CA fit the bill perfectly, and she was so excited to see the location scouting videos I sent over!
The train station plaza in Niles has fantastic 1900s architecture, and amphitheater, and a caboose!! There’s also one of my favorite Bay Area coffee shops, Devout, get yourself an oat milk latte or a single origin pourover and thank me later. ❤️
‘Sunflower” is NOT her favorite song, but we couldn’t resist!
Niles has an interactive sculpture at the park with zoetropes, a precursor to animated film. There are sequential drawings inside the drum. When you spin it and look through the slits, the drawings appear to be moving!

One of my client’s other wishes was for “something different” than the dry California hills. One of her wishes was for a lavender farm, and while there are great options in the Bay Area, they all require a lot of advance notice to get photo permits. I was glad we could find her a pretty lavender bush at the train station!

Isn’t this fun with the aviator glasses and palm trees? I was flat on my tummy on the ground to get these shots but it was totally worth it! That’s why your photographer often shows up in yoga pants. ?
We found a gorgeous wall covered in bright blue morning glory flowers! I love how the goldenrod tones of her pants and sunflowers pop against the blue flowers!
This was SUCH a fun photoshoot! The best part was making my client so happy with a location that really matched the vibe she was going for! I asked my client some questions at the end and she was so happy she replied in all-caps. ? I’m so glad she loved her photos and experience!
What was it like during the photoshoot?
REALLY EXCITING AND COMFORTABLE AND I FELT LIKE I COULD TRY POSES WITHOUT JUDGEMENT.

What would you tell someone considering a photoshoot with me?
SHE’S SO GREAT AT COLLABORATION AND LISTENING TO WHAT THE CLIENT WANTS AND MAKING THAT HAPPEN AND THEN ALSO ROLLING WITH WHAT RANDOM THINGS ARE THROWN AT HER DURING A SESSION SUCH AS WEIRD GUYS POSING IN THE BACKGROUND.
