My client wanted an architecture-based winter senior photo session in Chicago with a hint of Christmas charm. We visited multiple iconic locations in Chicago, including Frank Lloyd Wright's Rookery Building for some amazing variety - while keeping warm during our chilly December day!

The Wrigley Building
We started the session at the Wrigley Building for photos with the beautiful Christmas tree as well as the overlook over the Chicago River. We worked fast and had cars ready to pick us up in order to keep warm during the Chicago winter.

The Lyric Opera House of Chicago
Photographs with white stone pillars were important to my client as a means of showing off her interest in the Classics. The Lyric Opera House did not disappoint, and also had some beautiful gold doors and Christmas decorations for additional beauty.

The Rookery
Coming from a family filled with architecture enthusiasts, my client was very excited for portraits at Frank Lloyd Wright's Rookery Building in downtown Chicago. We captured portraits both in the expansive Light Court, and upstairs on the beautiful Oriel Staircase for some truly memorable and unique senior photos.

The Chicago Board of Trade offered a variety of iconic Chicago vibes for my client's session - towering skyscrapers, white stone pillars, a feeling of history with the older buildings, as well as the hustle-bustle of the modern city.

The Garfield Park Conservatory
A fantastic choice for color, foliage, and warmth during the cooler months, the Garfield Park Conservatory served as our last stop on my client's whirlwind three-hour portrait session.

Kristen took senior photos of our daughter and they are amazing. Kristen really took the time to get to know my daughter and her interests, took care of all the details for setting things up (scheduling the day, getting permits where needed, etc.) and was fantastic with communication throughout the process. She is very easy to work with and is an excellent photographer. I highly recommend.
