Jamie and Niall are dear friends of mine and I was SO happy to take their Oakland, CA Engagement photos! Their photoshoot was at a cool, hipster-y loft in West Oakland, a renovated and repurposed factory; it had a cool colorful and industrial vibe!

This is my favorite photo of the bunch and they are laughing at me because I fell over when taking this shot. 10/10 would do again to get these smiles!
This couple has a shared passion of long-distance biking to raise funds for climate change – including in the national parks and even as far away as Iceland! When we saw some bikes we knew we needed to incorporate them into a couple of shots. This is one of Jamie’s favorites – she said it looks like a magazine ad!
There was a lot of variety at this location, from brick and metal backgrounds to interestingly textured smoke bushes and flower beds. I’d happily photograph here again!

If you and your partner are looking for professional photos, but feel nervous or uncomfortable about being photographed, call Kristen Hazelton. My fiancé and I were looking for a couples photo shoot (engagement photos), but both of us had no idea what we were looking for, and felt kinda uncomfortable about being the focal point. Kristen put us at ease. She offered ideas, inquired about our interests, helped us identify the style of photography we were drawn to, and really guided us through the process. During the photo shoot, we had so much fun. Kristen had us giggling, laughing and totally at ease. And it shows in our photos! We were blown away by how the photos turned out! We weren’t even in a rush for our photos, but Kristen turned them around so quickly. I couldn’t recommend Kristen more!
