It was a treat to be the photographer of this River Forest, IL family and capture these sweet memories of grandparents visiting during the fall!
When I got to the location I opened my car door and my jaw dropped! We had a dense fog advisory that morning coupled with bright sunshine and it made for some truly magical lighting!

I love getting a few shots of the couples – it’s not atypical to have their most recent portraits be at their wedding, so it’s nice to get clients an update! Also, ahhh pokeberry…gorgeous with those pink stems and providing some pretty late-season color, but boy does Oak Park love to hate this plant! I haven’t had a run-in with it in my garden but I hear it’s pretty invasive and also poisonous.
But back to the topic on hand, this lovely photoshoot!!
This little guy wasn’t feeling his best, but mom and dad saved the day with tickles and airplane tosses!
This little guy is clearly very well loved. 🙂
We moved along to get them some fall color! The sugar maples are some of the earliest-changing trees, and in the sunshine the colors really POP!

I’m so glad the conditions lined up that we were able to get that fall feel in their photos, even if fall is a little slow this year!
