What a delight it was to take these Riverside, IL family photos! These beautiful family members are the first friends we made upon moving to Illinois last fall and they’ve been so kind and welcoming. Midwest weather is volatile and changes rapidly – I am so glad we lucked out with warm, SUNNY weather with a hint of fall foliage for this early October photoshoot! These are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken yet.
A photoshoot with me is definitely not all posed. I will give direction if that makes you more comfortable, but my number one goal is catching genuine emotion and interactions!

This photoshoot took place in early October when the leaves were just starting to turn. It was shocking to me how over the course of two weeks in October we went from totally green to almost totally orange in foliage! The Midwest fall colors are really stunning.
