Today I’m sharing some beautiful, flower-filled senior photos taken at Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore, California! You may recognize this client from her gorgeous fall senior photos taken at the Ravenswood Historical Site, and we followed up this summer with two encore sessions!
I’ve been intrigued by the idea of Alden Lane as a photography location for years, so this was a real treat for me! I love how my client’s dress and hat worked so well with the pops of color!
How cute is she with this sun hat?
And look how nicely her dress coordinates with the crepe myrtle trees! I love how the flowers complement her outfit! My client and the flowers stand out together against the neutral, earthy colors of this location.
Accessories at a senior photo shoot? Yes please! They can change the look of an outfit in nothing flat, and gives you something to hold and interact with for more interesting poses. I love the casual-cool vibe from the sunglasses photos, while the hat photos lend more of an air of sophistication. Accessories are key for variety!
I LOVE this set! The silvery green of the succulents, the bright blue of the chair with my client’s vibrant dress, the poses, the attitude – I love it all!!! These are some of my favorite images from the whole day.

The rainbow pops of color against the neutral background of the oak trees is just so beautiful! Alden Lane built the nursery around these gorgeous ancient valley oak trees; they are such a keystone tree of the Northern California area!
Senior Photos at a Garden Center
I love how we were able to make it look like my client was in a sea of flowers! The employees at Alden Lane commented how lucky were were that we got sunflowers in full bloom! Also, we got a lot of beautiful orange and yellow marigolds in fall colors to ease into the transition of the seasons.
We were blessed with summer fog the morning of our photoshoot! It gave us the flexibility to photograph in more locations with ideal light, which was a delight with all these flowers!!
Walls of flowering vines are my new favorite background; I love the way the orange pops with her bright dress! This is an orange trumpet vine, Campsis radicans! There is also one I know of in Oak Park, IL for any Illinois seniors interested in this look. 🙂
