Ahhh, the pandemic lifestyle: no toilet paper, or diapers, or yeast, or flour to be found, let alone hand sanitizer. During the early days of the pandemic, front porch photoshoots became popular as a way of documenting the daily absurdities. Also, they are a socially distanced, safe, and novel activity after such a long time cooped up indoors! I had fun doing this family’s Oak Park IL front porch photoshoot. I like to get some variety in the shots… I was able to photograph through a flowering tree for some fun foreground!
They have such a beautiful farmhouse! I loved the scilla bulbs they had peeking out in their yard, too!
Some shots of just the girls because Mother’s Day is coming up! It’s kinda lame(??) but I enjoy that we can do staggered heights of subjects on stairs for variety!
This family and their garden are so beautiful! Along the side of their house they have a beautiful bed filled up with tulips, hydrangeas, and columbines, and the neighborhood is covered with pretty magnolias!
I love this! Left to their own devices the sisters flanked the steps to their home and it looked great!
That awkward laugh because “ewww! Mom and Dad are kissing right behind us!” that nonetheless results in pretty smiles. 🙂

The family specifically requested shots of their older dog, Ruby. She wasn’t so sure about this photoshoot business but nonetheless took some great shots!
