I was so happy to take these clients’ family photos in Elmhurst, IL! We got these beautiful photos taken at peak bloom, courtesy of a heat wave causing all the flowers to open up at once!
This little guy was a bit quiet at first, but we got him to loosen up and got some big grins!

I love the sweet moments of parents playing with their children. While I think it’s important to deliver “smile for the camera” shots, I think it’s equally (if not more) important to take photos showing families connecting with each other rather than with my camera.
If children permit, I love to get photos of just mom and dad! I ask parents with young children to bring a stroller along so there is a safe place for their child to take a break while I get a few photos of the grownups. 🙂
