I’m so excited to share with you these beautiful Fenwick High School senior photos! Angelique and I met at the Melrose Park Civic Center (with permission from the Village in This Time of COVID) to capture some gorgeous images of her to celebrate her high school graduation. She paid attention to detail, incorporating not just her graduation regalia but also high school and university swag, and added in some nods to her time at Fenwick High School playing softball and dancing. This girl couldn’t take a bad photo if her life depended on it! What a pleasure to photograph you, Angelique! Thanks for having me as your Chicago Senior Photographer; I hope you have a restful summer and a fantastic time at university starting this fall! You are going to knock it out of the park (see what I did there?). Once a Black Friar, Always a Black Friar. 🙂
Graduation Gown Photos
Angelique was a member of the Fenwick softball team and wanted to include some shots with her softball as a prop in order to represent her interests. 🙂 This is one of my favorite parts of senior photo sessions – encouraging seniors to bring along objects they love, and wear clothes that are really represent them. It is my number one goal to provide an experience that is extremely comfortable and extremely representative of my clients and their interests!

I love a good glitter photo! When doing glitter shots, I always take care to have clients blow over a blanket so we easy clean up. Otherwise glitter gets everywhere and it’s not respectful of the park we’re in!
Can we just take a moment to admire her shoes?? We photographed in the Melrose Park Civic Center! I have to say, it had a lot of background variety with not much walking between spots!
She’s laughing at me 100% because I’m trying to come up with dumb jokes to get her to laugh. The laughing is because I’m a doofus, not because I’m actually funny, but hey, that’s part of the photographer job description!
Barefoot, getting ready to do some cool dancing poses!
I love photographs in color best and probably deliver 70%+ color, but there’s no denying that taking away the color for a black and white shot lets you focus on different aspects of an image, often the timelessness or the emotions behind the shot.
Here’s what Angelique had to say about her experience!
Kristen Hazelton is an amazing photographer! She shot my senior portraits and they turned out beautiful! She is very quick with her response time if you have any questions. Kristen is very passionate about her work and that shows through her enthusiasm and kindness! I highly recommend her!”
