Early this month this Lombard, IL photographer met up with this wonderful family for some spring Mother’s Day photos! This location is only 30 minutes west of downtown Chicago, and it is STUNNING! Shockingly there are tons of lilac bushes, but also daffodils, tulips, crabapples, and peonies. The west coast doesn’t have spring flowers like this, and it was a joy to see this amazing explosion of color – and even better, to photograph a beautiful family there!

They really wanted to re-create a photograph with them kissing mom, I think I turned out beautifully!

The park is filled to bursting with lilac bushes and they were in peak bloom! So, the air was thick with lilac fragrance and we kept stopping to find the ones with the best aroma!
